Privacy policy
PhotographySchool.com is operated by Rebel Marketing Inc, doing business as PhotographySchool, 1103 E. Boxelder Rd, Suite F, Gillette, Wyoming 82718. This page says what we collect, why, and what never leaves the vault.
What we collect
Your account (name, email, password hash), your learning activity (which lessons you watched and for how long, quiz attempts, certificates), your community activity (posts, comments, reactions, saves, messages), billing status from Stripe (we never see your card number), and, when you request a free download, a consent record with the time, the page, the exact consent language you saw, and your IP address.
Your photographs and the GPS vault
Camera files often carry hidden metadata: where the photo was taken, the camera serial number, sometimes an owner name. We treat that as sensitive. When you upload, the original file goes untouched into a private vault. What the community sees is a derivative that carries exactly six technical fields: camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Location coordinates, serial numbers, and name fields are never copied to anything public and cannot be searched or queried by anyone. Vault access is limited to the operator alone, requires a written reason, and every access is logged. Vault retention is being finalized and this page will state the window when it is.
Transactional email (receipts, sign-in links, renewal reminders, message notifications) comes from mail.photographyschool.com. Marketing email arrives only if you opted in, always says why you are receiving it, and every message carries one-click unsubscribe. We stop marketing to addresses that have not opened anything in 90 days.
Cookies and sessions
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and product analytics to understand what helps people learn. We do not sell personal data and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
Who processes data for us
Stripe (payments and tax), Mux (video), Resend (email), Supabase (database), Cloudflare (delivery and storage), Deepgram (transcription of our lesson videos, not your content), Railway (hosting), Sentry and PostHog (errors and analytics). Each receives only what its job requires.
Your controls
You can edit your profile, delete your posts, block members, cancel the membership, and unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Email us at the address on every message to ask for a copy or deletion of your data, and a person answers.
Age
PhotographySchool is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we remove accounts we learn belong to minors.
